The split embrace.

This project emerges as a development of two houses, so we try to treat them as a whole. The main thing is that this house, which is located above the other, is turned with respect to it, mainly to seek different sea views of the lower house and that this house interferes as little as possible in the visuals.

When this turn occurs, the views go to a mountain that is a landmark in the area. It is then when we think of imitating the profile of the mountain, but this time we do it from the inside out. We imagine how the house can be so that from inside, mainly from the most important area (the living room, which also gives double height), we can appreciate the mountain and that our house mimics it.

The result on the outside is a house aesthetically divided into two parts, which have the will of continuity, of embracing each other, between which the double height glass of the living room is placed. The shapes of the pieces of these two interrupted parts are related to the shapes of the mountain and thus the whole is read with a certain dynamism due to the predominance of an irregular and curved language.

An interrupted continuity, a broken embrace.
